Every summer, the FM 94/9 Staff looks forward to Coachella and getting out to the desert for a weekend. Our goal each year is to bring the sounds and experience of Coachella to everyone in San Diego who can't attend the festival. So check out this page throughout the weekend as we'll post pictures from the festival and our house. We'll upload some little videos of what goes on behind the scenes and try to get some artists to play live in our mud hut.

Coachella 2013 - Apollo RV Experience

We're back from Coachella 2013 and needless to say we're exhausted and very proud of the work we did out there. This was an entirely new Coachella experience for the FM 94/9 crew. The typical move for most radio stations is to rent a big, cushy house and wait for the artists to come to them. We wanted to try something different this year and it was incredible. We had an RV, courtesy of Apollo RV and we posted up right in artist parking and had several of the festival's biggest acts come to our RV to do interviews, grab a beer and a burger and talk about their experience. Every single band that came through was beyond stoked about it. They didn't have to load up into a car, fight Coachella traffic, figure out gate codes, etc. They came to us and relaxed in comfort with us. It was ...
