Amplified Ale Works 4/28/17

This One Goes WAY Past Eleven!

Tonight we’ll be blowing out the speakers with Amplified Ale Works! Who’d a thunk that what started out as a back room brew project at a Pacific Beach kebab shack would eventually crescendo into one of the rockingest breweries in town? Seems these guys knew it all along. They’ve been cranking out some amazing collaboration brews lately and now have a cool new tap house in Miramar (as well as the original PB location) where their hop-heavy brews are served up fresh. Center stage this Friday is their newly released Born To Lose IPA, a beer worthy of none other than the mother-of-all-metal bands, Motörhead, and officially brewed in their honor under exclusive license. No doubt Lemmy will be listening in from the other dimension where he currently resides, so let’s crack one (or two…or three) open on his behalf and turn up “Ace of Spades” loud enough for him to hear!

  • Reel Big Kölsch An imperial Kölsch-style ale brewed in collaboration with SoCal Ska-punks Reel Big Fish and dry-hopped with SoCal-style hops (of course). The band crashed the brewery and the results can be found in a college-ruled can near you.
  • Juice Springsteen and the E Street Band
  • Born to Lose IPA Limited four packs of these crazy-ass cans are being released THIS FRIDAY 4/28 at 3 PM exclusively at Amplified’s two locations, so don’t miss out! A classic West Coast style IPA with citra hops. Loud and raging and dank--just like the Rainbow Room itself. Run don’t walk…
  • Black Hole Saison Fresh estate-grown rosemary from a local brewery’s parking lot...Cy won't say which one (they make a famous grapefruit IPA...).
  • Nyctophobia Stout If you find yourself suffering from nyctophobia (an irrational fear of darkness and/or night) this barrel-aged Russian Imperial Stout will give you that extra dose of courage needed to turn off the nightlight.
