ONE ESKIMO on Big Sonic Chill!!!!

I had the pleasure of having One Eskimo stop by Big Sonic Chill! It was such a cool hang with these guys, Kristian & Adam. Some people you sort of feel like you've known forever & they were those types of people.
Fun finding out more about their musical journey so far and all of the cool things they have on the horizon. We also took a trip down memory lane with all of the music that we loved growing up & the boys played some of their favs.

Goldfrapp news! Sweet! Check it out...

So the elusive Alison has spoken about what Goldfrapp has been up to! A LOT apparently! After just finishing the film score on 'Nowhere Boy' about John Lennon as a boy ( sounds awesome~I can't wait to see this & hear the music!!), they've also been hard at work on their 5th studio release set for a March 22 release in the U.K. (March 23rd here). The new CD will be called 'Head First' and is supposed to be "euphoric and romantic"..sounds like more of what I love coming soon from Goldfrapp!
They've also been lending their help to Christina Aguilera on some tracks for her new CD.
You know you will be hearing the new Goldfrapp CD as soon as I get my hands on a copy..stay tuned to Big Sonic Chill:)

Julian Plenti (Paul Banks) from Interpol in the house!

Friday the 13th...had the pleasure of having Julian Plenti (Paul Banks) from Interpol stop by to co-host Big Sonic Chill and chat for awhile.
I was a little worried when 'Julian' arrived..he had on those giant black sunglasses that they give you at the eye-doctor when they dilate your eyes and he seemed a little out of it. I could tell he didn't feel well and not seeing his eyes was a little disconcerting when I was trying to talk to him and get to know him (and feel out how the interview was going to go!).
I offered to turn down the lights in the studio (no, I wasn't putting the moves on him, pervie). I wanted him to feel comfortable to take his glasses off so I could look the man in the eye! Thankfully, he did take off the glasses then things were great! He relaxed and ...

I knew Moby was a good guy, but this is pretty amazing! It's so great to not only support awesome music, but also musicians who are using their stardom to help others....rock on, Moby! And THANK YOU!

I got a call from G (that would be Garett) on Friday saying..."I need you to keep Monday open..Moby is probably going to come in..so be ready"
Two words: Awe-some. I am stoked all weekend and trying to remember everything about my last run in with Moby. Oh! I know! He likes White Tea..I better go buy Moby some tea to make him feel at home (and hope he's in a good mood! That is essential for a good interview!)
I had nothing to worry about, Moby was as sweet as I remembered. He had his baseball hat on when he came in and was in the mood to just chill. I'm not sure if he thought I was crazy or was relieved when I whipped out a giant bag of different types of tea and 2 coffee mugs I brought from home~ok, so I'm a dork..who cares...it's Moby!). AIR: Love 2 is the new CD just released this week!
I'm still listening and seeing if my favorite French boys have pulled another great CD outta their hat...Pocket Symphony was amazing after I had a few listens.

Didn't they say their last album was gonna be out A LOT sooner than the 11 yrs. that went by??? Mmmmm....I hope and pray for a quicker turn around on this one, but the notorious perfectionists might take their sweet 'ol time again..Here's hoping and here's the info on the new CD:
