The FM 94/9 Eco-village website was formed as a continuation of the successful 2009 Independence Jam Eco-Village. We realized that San Diego has an amazing community of environmentally conscious businesses that are working diligently to make the San Diego region a clean and healthy place to live. We wanted to collaborate with these like minded organizations to further perpetuate their messages and contribute to the on-going efforts of truly making San Diego, America’s finest city.
Millions of pounds of trash originating on land, ends up nestled along the San Diego shorelines and floating in the region’s waterways each year. Those plastic bags, cigarette butts and Styrofoam cups threaten to further harm wildlife, increase pollution and choke our streams, rivers and bays of an eco-friendly environment.
